What should I do to run my first battle?
You should follow these steps:
- Start preparing a new battle (Battle -> Prepare)
- Add players and/or monsters to the battle.
- Change monster characteristics if needed.
- Name the battle.
- Save the battle.
- Start the battle (Battle -> Start prepared battle).
- Click Start button.
How to import monsters from DDI Adventure Tools?
DMBS can import mosters from DDI Adventure Tools (AT) when they exported as .monster files.
To make an export from AT, make a void change in monster sheet. After that, AT will allow you to store a local copy of changed monster ('Export XML' button in the left pane at top right).

When assigning first initiative order what 'group initiative' is for?
This feature is optional. When you activate it and use the tool for rolling initiative, all monsters of the same initiative group will get same rolled d20 value. You can
assign monsters to groups while battle preparation.
How to import players from DDI Character Builder?
DDI Character Builder keeps character sheets as .dnd4e files. Such files can be imported to DMBS as players.
Can I run a battle over game sessions?
Yes. DMBS stores battle after every action, therefore you can close it any time and then continue via Battle->Continue battle.
Any chance to run DMBS on Apple?
No.
Finish button always disabled. What to do?
Finish button is reserved for future implementation. However, you can call Stats/Loot button to see action XP and loot according to defeated monsters.
